Algae stained concrete and weathered siding age a property faster than any other factor, and each requires an entirely different approach. Driveways, walkways and patios are treated with a surface cleaner at full pressure, producing an even finish without wand marks. Siding, stucco, cedar and painted trim receive a low pressure soft wash in which a biodegradable solution performs the work. Directing 3,000 PSI at siding forces water behind the cladding, and we therefore do not do it.

Moss retains water against the shingle surface, lifts the edges and works the protective granules loose. This is the mechanism by which a twenty five year roof becomes a fifteen year roof. The remedy is patience rather than force. Bulk growth is removed by hand, a treatment is applied to eliminate the root system, and the remainder is carried away by weather over the following weeks. Any contractor offering to pressure wash an asphalt roof is shortening its service life.
